For its 32<sup>nd<\/sup> edition the four-day invitational regatta featured top-notch racing of 26 superyachts in six classes, in the beautiful setting of St. Barths. Although the size of the yachts and competing fleet has grown significantly, the spirit of the event has remained unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Spars were proud to see our rigged superyachts victorious in four out of the six classes. In the Les Mademoiselles des Mers\u00a0class,<em> Southern Spars rigged Farfalla<\/em>\u00a0secured overall victory, beating last year\u2019s overall Bucket winner, <em>SPIIP.<\/em> Whilst in Les Grandes Dames des Mers class, the Southern Spars sloop <em>Whisper<\/em> took the top spot after being the first in fleet to cross the line each day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11767 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.southernspars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-22-at-12.11.54.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"369\" height=\"247\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11768 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.southernspars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-22-at-12.11.12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"374\" height=\"248\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Vitters-built sloop\u00a0<em>Missy<\/em>, a new boat launched with Southern Spars rigs at the end of 2016, achieved first place after the final race on Sunday, in the\u00a0Les Voiles Blanche<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>class. Finally, in the J Class races our rigged yacht <em>Svea<\/em> was triumphant.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11764 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.southernspars.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/bucket-award.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"527\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, in a regatta that is famous for its camaraderie and racing for pure pleasure, Southern Spars would like to congratulate all of the winners and participants, as well as congratulating the St. Barths Bucket team for organising yet another highly successful event.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Spars\u00a0is a long-term supporter of the Bucket and for the event we were proud to be continuing our support as an Official Friend of the Bucket. As the world\u2019s leading supplier of carbon rigs to the superyacht industry, our team were also on-site supporting the event.
