Southern Spars unveils cutting-edge superyacht innovations at the Monaco Yacht Show Breakfast
The showcase event for innovation in the superyacht industry, the Monaco Yacht Show, returns 24-27 September 2025. Amongst the world’s most eminent superyachts, offshore sailing great and Ferrari Hypersail Team Principal Giovanni Soldini will deliver the keynote at the Southern Spars Monaco Yacht Show Breakfast.
Horsepower Meets Sailpower
Always highly anticipated, the Monaco Yacht Show Breakfast is an invitation-only event hosted by Southern Spars, the global leader in high-performance composite rig technology for luxury yachts, in collaboration with its sister organisations Future Fibres and RigPro.
Southern Spars is delighted to welcome Giovanni Soldini, one of offshore sailing’s most accomplished and respected figures. His career spans more than 40 major ocean races, including two solo round-the-world challenges – second place in the 1994/95 B.O.C. Challenge, and victory in the 1998/99 Around Alone race – alongside a long list of record-breaking moments, including the Golden Route record, Cape2Rio record, Hong Kong to London record, and the original Fastnet route record.
His latest challenge is leading Ferrari’s Hypersail project as Team Principal. Southern Spars is proud to be innovating alongside Soldini and Ferrari on this groundbreaking 100-foot ocean-racing monohull prototype – shattering the mould and flying into the future of sailing.

Meanwhile, Future Fibres’ latest breakthrough is the world’s first ultra-high modulus carbon fibre rigging product.
