Southern Spars will expand its presence in the New Space sector at JEC World 2026, building on four decades of leadership in advanced composite structures. Known globally for engineering some of the world’s largest and most complex carbon composite structures, the company is now applying its proven expertise to the demands of space.

With the largest autoclave in the Southern Hemisphere, a fully automated advanced tape‑laying machine, and a recently commissioned 5‑axis CNC system, Southern Spars combines cutting‑edge infrastructure with a highly skilled workforce. These meticulous manufacturing processes have been refined through top‑tier programmes and this integrated capability uniquely positions Southern Spars to deliver large, high‑precision composite structures for space applications.

The company has already secured multiple customers in the New Space sector and is currently producing components for solar arrays, satellites and rocket systems. These programmes highlight Southern Spars’ capability to support both established aerospace manufacturers and emerging space innovators.

Future Fibres, the world leader in rigging and cables, will exhibit alongside Southern Spars at JEC World 2026. Its AS9100 certified manufacturing site ensures aerospace‑grade quality, with all cables laser‑etched for full traceability and performance assurance. From this facility, Future Fibres delivers advanced composite tension and load‑bearing systems with proven lightweight, high‑stability performance for precision applications. These strengths align directly with emerging needs in deployable space structures and other lightweight support systems.
